Some more past footage from 2021 with the virtual race on the race course

2019 was a great year……….

The Molokai Holokai Ho’olaule’a began in 2003 as Na Opio Hana Pa’a, a Celebration of Youth Opportunities. It involved a Maui to Molokai Challenge to bring ocean enthusiasts to Molokai. The event included community events and culminated in music and festivities at Malama Park. Over the years, the event evolved and adapted to community needs. However, Malama Park faced challenges and became unavailable. The hope is to bring Malama Park back as a venue for the event in the future.

2018 was another great year with Outside TV filming…..The Molokai Holokai is a race that features an epic channel crossing from Maui to Molokai (27 miles) in everything from SUP, Foil, and Outrigger Canoe. This race takes competitors across the Pailolo channel, known as one of the most epic crossings in the Hawaiian islands. Among this year competitors is 2x Ultimate Waterman Champion Zane Schweitzer and 9-year-old Bobo Gallagher.
